Kate the Kindergartner!

Two backpacks, quite the overachiever.:)

Katie bug is loving every minute of school.  She gets up and gets dressed all by herself. She's been so responsible in making sure she has her folder and lunch ready to go.  Being first at the bus stop is highly important for our competitive child and she loves being one of the big kids!  Speaking of being competitive, she loves soccer.  I'm so happy my hubby signed her up.  She's definitely aggressive and goes after the ball.  So much that she takes it away from her own teammate...not so good!!:)

 

Funny Kate story...my sister Megan recently returned from a trip to Japan.  We received a postcard from her in the mail. 

K: Molly, read this postcard to me from Aunt Meggie.

M: Kate, I can't read that.  It's in cursive.

K: It's not in cursive Molly, it's in JAPANESE!

Postcard was not in Japanese, Aunt Meggie just doesn't have the best penmanship!

 

K:Mom, Lexi is incredible!

Me: Really, wow what did she do!

K: She put a puzzle piece together.

Me: Ok, that's great!!:)

I love that she thinks her little sister is incredible!

 

 

Kate was super excited to find out Mrs. H is her Kindergarten teacher.  Molly had her and we love Mrs. H!  So far, Kate does too!!  Many "wows" are brought home and she's s quick to tell me who got "reminders!" Love this sweet five year old! a
