Happy New Year!

Wow...it's already January 17! Kate had her surgery on January 5th. All went well. The lab reports came back..."vegetative foreign object!' Wow all of this for a piece of corn at the corn maze:). Her incision is a little more than an inch. It's healing nicely, but definitely much larger than I anticipated. Without knowing exactly what this cyst was, the doctor had to cut in an eclipse shape as to not cut into the cyst. She was very brave!

While Kate was recovering nicely in the recovery room, Dave and I received phone calls from Molly's school nurse. Her heart was racing! She was very concerned and suggested we take her to the doctor. So, Dave left Kate and I at the hospital and picked up Molly. We met with the pediatrician and were sent onto a Cardiologist. He performed an EKG and echo. All came back normal. It is determined now she has supraventrical tachycardia???(sp) This is simply a racing heart.

She wears a monitor to ensure that the medication is working. The monitor has been somewhat of a curse and a blessing...curse in that she's always pushing it worried her heart is racing, blessing in that it does record her heart rate. Her teachers and school nurse have been FABULOUS. I really can't say enough about how attentive they have been with this. I know how much a teacher has on her plate, they've gone above and beyond. I'm so thankful for them. Molly seems to be feeling better with it, but all of this has caused her some anxiety. I don't blame her, I'm anxious too:)

Lexi had her ear recheck with the ENT and the tubes are still in place...for now!

So...what have we been doing...

THIS IS IT!:)

All of this is fixable and treatable. I am complaining, but I'm very thankful I'm home with these sweet girls and able to get them from doctor to doctor:)

Just to top it off, I have a tooth bothering me...one that cracked a couple years ago and has a crown on it. So I'm off to see my neighbor and her dental team Thursday am to see what's wrong...can I say anxious! Many know my absolute fear of the dentist. I've been ignoring it but as you can see,... how can I possibly get to the dentist!?

Hoping to occupy our time with some fun stuff very soon:)
Happy New Year!
