First Grade...here we come!

Wow...first grade already! Where has the time gone? Molly had a wonderful Kindergarten year. She learned so much and she's reading so well. She's even reading all my text messages and emails:) I'm so proud of our first born. She's done so great with the transition of moving here and being in a new school and place. I've been very pleased with our school system. Her teacher was fabulous. Molly had strept and had to miss her "spring party" at school. So Mrs. H. came to our house, did the activity and brought all the goodies to Molly and Kate. She went above and beyond the call of duty...I don't remember any teachers coming to my house! She was truly wonderful, and we will miss her next year. Molly told me she wants to be just like her when she grows up...a little teacher in the making! Academically, she's received so much! Socially, she's been taught kindness, respect, forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance of others. Spiritually, well that's where Dave and I come in! It forces us to be involved in our parish and make every effort to ensure we give her the tools to grow in her relationship with God and the gift of faith. She loves CCD and tells me Mass is boring! Yep... in the eyes of a six year old, I think I'm doing my part!! Molly was greeted off the bus with a sign, sucker, the neighborhood, and Daddy!
