When I pick up Kate from preschool, I always inquire about the day. I go through my whole routine of questions...What did you do? What shape did you talk about? What letter did you practice? etc.
Yesterday, I asked her so who did you play with?
"Nobody."
Really, did you play with a boy or a girl?
"Nobody."
Well what did you do on the playground?
"Swing and slide."
Well did anyone swing and slide with you?
"No."
Well, it might be fun to make a friend so that you have someone to slide with?
"I forgot to make a friend, I'll do it on Thursday."
Ok.
